Richard Serop Aslanian completed his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (Second Class Honors) at Macquarie University in April 2013 and was admitted as a solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court in December 2013.

Richard has been instrumental in Connect Legal securing various judgments for its clients including in August 2017 the Putlands vs Royans Wagga, a sham contracting matter, before His Honor Justice Bromwich at the Federal Court of Australia and in October 2021 the Joseph Ferguson racial discrimination matter before His Honor Judge Driver at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Richard’s primary focus is on litigating General Protections, Unlawful Discrimination, and Sham Contracting matters, and regularly appears at the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Chief Industrial Magistrates Court of NSW, and the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Richard is also a firm believer in fairness and equality and has a fervent passion for helping employees in defending their employment and discrimination rights.

Richard also undertakes volunteer work for a school board and local youth organizations.
